Dear Families,
Last week we enjoyed a visit from Mr. Szczygiel ("seagull"), our AAPS environmental educator, who came to teach us all about which animals live in our area and what they do throughout the different seasons in Michigan. He brought a lot of interesting animal artifacts for us to explore! Check out some photos below.
During morning meeting in our classroom, we have added a time for SHARING. During this time students are welcome to share some news about their lives with their classmates. They might choose to share about a trip they went on, a holiday they are celebrating, a dance recital or other accomplishment, or about a relative who is visiting them. These can be big and small things and students are welcome to bring (or have their parents email) photos to support them in sharing with the class! See some photos below of students sharing during morning meeting.
Thank you to Deniz's Dad for reading aloud to our class! Parents can click HERE to sign up to read to our class, to help out with our upcoming Winter Party on 12/22, or to be a class helper during the Turkey Trot next week. While the PTO is recruiting parent volunteers to be stationed along the route of the Turkey Trot (sign up HERE), I would still love a few parent volunteers who can meet us in the classroom beforehand and run with our class!
There is no school from 11/22-11/24 for Thanksgiving Break and I hope that you enjoy a wonderful, long weekend!
Warmly,
Ms. Moon
p.s. Kindergarten kids can wear RED on Tuesday to show their school spirit during our Turkey Trot!
