Dear Kindergarten Families,
I hope that you are having a great weekend! Our students have been doing a great job and having fun learning during their second week of Kindergarten. Centers is one part of our daily class schedule that kids have been enjoying. During center time, students get to pick which play/learning center activity they want to go to and for how long they want to stay. We continue to open up new centers and change up the activities at existing centers throughout the week. One of our star (required) centers this week was the cubby center, where students go to pack up all of their papers into their folders to bring home. On the weekends, please help your child empty out the papers and return their folder to their backpack so that they are ready to pack up their cubby again at the end of each week. Check out some photos below of students during center time and ask your child which center was their favorite!
This coming week we will be learning how to use our new Chromebooks and begin doing our NWEA (standardized math and reading tests) on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Also this week, we have our school picture day on Thursday morning.
I wanted to say thank you, again, to families for all of the donations to our classroom! It's very much appreciated!
