Dear Families,
This week in Kindergarten we have been learning about and describing shapes during Math. One of our star centers this week was to trace and cut out a triangle to add to our triangle poster. We have been reading and learning about what scientists do and launched our Science unit where we will be exploring the weather. One of our star centers this week was to add a page to our class book where each students drew themselves as a scientist. See some photos of these star centers and other center activities below!
FIELD TRIP update: Our Plymouth Orchard field trip has been rescheduled for Thursday,11/2/23, from 9:45-12:05. (Green) permission slips are coming home today and can be returned to school as soon as possible! Thanks for your patience!
Note about SNACKS: Please make sure to continue to send a snack to school for your child each school day. We have learned from our school nurse that our classroom will continue to be NUT-FREE all year, so please make sure that the snacks are also nut-free. If your chid is getting a school lunch, they still need to bring a snack from home for our morning snack time. If your child is bringing a lunch from home, please make sure they have a snack that's not packed up in their lunch or bento box, because we are taking our snacks outside with us, and make sure that they know where it will be! (Some kids are getting their lunch confused with their snack, so if you can talk with you kid at home about where the snack will be each day, that would be helpful!). Thank you!
Note about quiet rest time TOWELS: If your child has not done so already, please have them bring a small towel (or blanket) to school that they can use for quiet rest time. This is mostly to give them a clean and soft spot to rest on. Please have them bring something that folds up small so that we have space to store it in the classroom. Thanks for your help!
Thank you to Basil's Mom for reading aloud to the class!
